LACS hosts Mapuche leader and Chilean Constitutional Representative Adolfo Millabur Ñancuil

LACS hosted Chilean Mapuche leader Adolfo Millabur Ñancuil for a day. Representative Millabur met with LACS graduate students, visited with its curators the Re*Cast Exhibit in the UMD Art Gallery, met with LACS affiliate faculty, and gave a presentation. In his talk, the Chilean Mapuche leader and politician discussed his experience in the recent Chilean Constitutional Convention, where he represented the Mapuche Nation through a reserved seat. This day-event resulted from a partnership between LACS and the University of Pennsylvania's Center for Latin American and Latinx Studies (CLALS).
